How We Started

Company HistoryColdSnail Ltd was established in February 2001, after what can only be described as a website phenomena took place. The founder, Chris Frost, created a website in his spare time providing links to free product samples and money off coupons that were readily available online to the UK general public.

After receiving complimentary reviews in newspapers, magazines, radio and television programmes, FreeInUK.co.uk grew at an exponential rate, attracting upwards of 100,000 unique visitors per month. Despite the infamous dotcom crash, FreeInUK.co.uk continued to grow and developed as an emerging source for advertising and brand exposure to the more traditional bricks and mortar companies.

ColdSnail has continued to innovate, purchase and sell websites within the affiliate marketing community and became one of the first companies to successfully pass the Google Advertising Professional and Microsoft adExcellence exams. This helped cement its place within PPC advertising, managing advertising campaigns on behalf of merchants and for their own ventures.

ColdSnail is responsible for generating over £5 million of sales on behalf of both, household brands including Wickes, LastMinute and Tesco, as well as new online businesses such as Prezzybox, Love Honey and Bunches. ColdSnail now operates websites in the UK and Australia.
