ColdSnail was first established in February 2001, after what can only be described as a website phenomena took place. The founder, Chris Frost, created a website in his spare time, that simply provided links to free product samples and money off coupons, readily available online to the UK general public.

After receiving complimentary reviews in newspapers, magazines, radio and television programmes, FreeInUK.co.uk grew at an exponential rate, attracting upwards of 70,000 unique visitors per month. Despite the infamous dotcom crash that took place, FreeInUK.co.uk continued to grow and develop, emerging as a valuable source of advertising and brand exposure to the more traditional bricks and mortar companies.

Since 2005, ColdSnail has continued to innovate, purchase and sell websites within the affiliate marketing community and became one of the first companies to successfully pass the Google Advertising Professional and Microsoft adExcellence exams. This helped cement its place within PPC advertising, managing advertising campaigns on behalf of merchants and for their own ventures.

Today, ColdSnail is responsible for generating over £3 million of sales on behalf of both, household brands including Dixons, Peacocks, BHS and Tesco, and new online businesses such as Firebox, Love Honey and Bunches. ColdSnail continue to develop and innovate, seeing new and emerging markets as a welcome challenge and opportunity to increase brand awareness and improve internet online marketing.
